An eye bruise – ouch! That sounds painful. I hope it heals up quick.

I can’t imagine how amazing that must feel – to wake up, open your eyes, and see clearly. I think someday I’ll get iLasik too, even if it does scare me a little to think about it.

I know you put frozen peas on, well, that nether region after getting “fixed”. Perhaps you could tape a pack to your eye? So glad to hear you came out okay, even with the bruising and pain. Yikers. Can’t wait to hear more!

I agree with the previous poster. Ice cream is definitely called for, I read somewhere that it aids in healing and whatnot. Well, not really, but I am always looking for a reason to eat ice cream.

1) I got an eyeful of bleach when I was about 4. I had to wear a patch for a while. I pretended I was a pirate. I suggest you get yourself a patch and do the same.

2) I could have gone the rest of my life without reading the words “my left eye will squeeze the pupil ring off prematurely” and could have been perfectly happy.

3) While it’s lovely that your mom brought you soup, I think eye surgery in August warrants ice cream. Just personal opinion.

4) Spencer came very, very, very close to stabbing me in the eye with a fork when he was about 22 months. He actually got the skin next to my eye and left a little, tiny scab. It was all accidental but I was pretty pissed at the time.
